.327 Federal Magnum 115 grain Chey-Cast Hi-Tek Coated Range Ammo- The .327 Federal Mag is an example of a “super magnum“, because it is a magnum of a magnum, the .32 H&R Magnum. The .327 Federal Magnum is a high-performance revolver cartridge introduced in 2008 by Federal Premium Ammunition in collaboration with Sturm, Ruger & Co. Designed to offer the power of the .357 Magnum in a more compact and manageable form, the .327 Federal Magnum achieves this by utilizing a case length of 1.20 inches and a maximum pressure rating of 45,000 psi, surpassing that of the .357 Magnum. This cartridge is notable for its versatility, as it can be safely fired from revolvers chambered for .327 Federal Magnum, .32 H&R Magnum, .32 S&W Long, providing shooters with a range of ammunition options.

Revolvers chambered in .327 Federal Magnum, such as the Ruger SP101 and the Taurus 327, offer increased ammunition capacity compared to their .357 Magnum counterparts, with some models holding up to seven rounds. This higher capacity, combined with the cartridge’s manageable recoil, makes it an appealing choice for concealed carry and self-defense applications.

Choice Ammunition’s hand-loaded .327 Federal Magnum rounds stand out for their superior performance, particularly in self-defense scenarios. Unlike mass-produced factory ammunition, our rounds undergo a rigorous testing program to ensure reliability and consistency. Each batch is subjected to comprehensive ballistic testing, including penetration depth, expansion, and velocity measurements, to meet stringent performance standards.

At Choice Ammunition, quality and precision are our top priorities. Each .327 Federal Magnum round is meticulously hand-loaded using premium components and subjected to rigorous testing for consistency, accuracy, and reliability. We use industry-leading practices to ensure every cartridge meets exacting standards, delivering superior performance shot after shot. Whether for defense, hunting, or target shooting, you can trust Choice Ammunition to provide dependable, high-quality ammunition built for peak performance in every situation.

The Bullet:

Choice Ammunition offers .327 Federal Magnum cartridges loaded with 115-grain Chey-Cast RNFP bullets featuring Hi-Tek Super Coat. These bullets are hard-cast at 16–18 Brinell hardness, composed of 92% lead, 6% antimony, and 2% tin, ensuring durability and performance. The Hi-Tek Super Coat is a heat-set polymer coating that fully encapsulates the lead, eliminating the need for traditional wax lubes. This coating reduces smoke, prevents barrel leading, and minimizes lead exposure, making it safe for indoor shooting. Developed in Australia over 25 years ago, Hi-Tek Super Coat has been widely adopted for its effectiveness and cleanliness in shooting applications.
